We are really pleased to support the Welsh Governments drive to encourage young people into the world of work via the Jobs Growth Wales Programme.
The programme provides unemployed young people with a job for 6 months, which is paid at or above the National Minimum Wage. The intention is that the employer will sustain each job after the 6 month period has been completed. Eligible candidates must be aged between 16 and 24 years of age and registered as unemployed.
All vacancies are advertised on the Careers Wales website and eligible candidates are encouraged to use the site, which hopes to put young people in touch with registered employers, in order to deliver real work experience and long term employment opportunities.
‘We are delighted to have employed one full time Legal Assistant as a result of this programme’ said Gemma Monday, Head of Residential Conveyancing ‘this is an excellent programme and one which has worked well for us in the past. We look for candidates who have the right attitude and a real willingness to learn as we create an environment for growth and development’ Gemma, who qualified in 2006 continued ‘Conveyancing is a great and exciting sector to work in as no two days are the same, we have a professional and supportive team of property law specialists who deserve trainees who are prepared to go the extra mile’.
