Charity and rugby a fun combination

The 15th Annual Lloyds Bank Rugby Lunch took place in the Swalec Stadium earlier today, Friday 26th January. Phil Steele compered the popular event, in aid of St David’s Hospice Care. Guest speakers Ron Woodward and William Derek Bevan certainly helped to liven up the day.

Over 500 people attended the event and enjoyed a 3 course lunch, entertainment and a networking opportunity that is second to none.

The event, which started off quite small has grown and now caters for 500 guests every year. It has become quite an event and one which has continued to grow in popularity with tables being booked well in advance of the January date. It has raised in excess of £250,000 over the years, including this years contribution of approximately £28,000.

Partner and Co Founder of Insight Law Paul Jones said, ‘this is a great event and one we have supported for a couple of years. It’s well organised, well attended and focused on raising much needed funds for St David’s Hospice Care’. Paul who launched Insight Law with Simon Fox in 2012 continued ‘We have chosen St David’s Hospice Care as one of our charities to support as a business, and this event is just another way in which we can help to contribute funds to this incredible charity’.
