It’s almost that time again, the highly anticipated Monmouth Raft Race! Last year saw the self-named ‘Insight Oar’ team paddle their way 6.5 miles down the River Wye to the finish line in 2 hours 29 minutes and 42 seconds, finishing in a respectable 35th place out of the 69 that took part.
This year we’re aiming to beat that time, and more importantly, raise a larger sum for charity than we’ve managed previously. To make this a reality, we need your help! We’re organising several fundraising activities over the next few weeks with hopes of smashing last years’ haul of £1,028.58!
- Friday 2nd August - Bake sale in and around Cardiff Gate office
- Friday 9th August - Team stationary cycle 180 miles in 12 hours, Cardiff to Bangor
- Sunday 1st September - The Monmouth Raft Race
As you can see, we’re putting in a lot of effort to raise money for our charity, St David’s Hospice Care, and we’d love for you to help us on our mission.

We hope to see you at the start line on September 1st.
